I wouldn't worry about putting anything on his comb unless there is something wrong. He'll be perfectly healthy without it.

Yeah nothing is wrong I just am hoping to keep it soft and not get dry skin. Plus I feel it will be great bonding

Most chickens do not need creams since combs are normally healthy and need to breathe. When a comb becomes dry as some do in winter weather, many use coconut oil to tub in for moisturizing if it is not below freezing. If you use that produce, I would not use it daily.

He won't need to worry about freezing like that. He is an inside chicken.
