Can roosters eat layer pellets?

Mine does, but i rarely keep any bird beyond 1-2 yrs before we butcher so im not worried about potential long term damage.

Many people have different opinions. I personally give all flock feed with oyster and egg shells supplemented.

All flock is a feed that's appropriate for all ages and types. It can go by different names, like flock raiser, or the one I use is called hatch-to-hen. Grower is also often suitable as an "all flock". Basically it's a feed that's around 1% calcium and usually 17-20% protein.
