Can sawdust cause impacted crop

I put sawdust down three days ago, it's dust free and now all three of my chicks have a large lump right side of breast. Is it an impacted crop and is it the saw dust? If so how do I get help them?

The bulge is normal as long as the crop clears, but I prefer to use towels instead of shavings because I have seen impactions from them. FYI, some types of wood chips and shavings are poisonous to animals - always best to use just pine.
