Can someone post pics of Lavender Orps. please?

call ducks,
I think John Blehm can ship to Canada and you may be able to get some Lavender Ameraucanas LF from him or bantams if you want bantams. That way you will get the gene and have to work from there.

Heres pic's, usa lavender in volume....

Some of my project Lav Orps. I have 3 breeder pens going now and some back on exhibition Black Orps. I need to take new pics as the girls are almost at POL.

Thanks wilds of pa! Is the most fluffy of fluffiest look, the "volume" a seasonal thing? Would a person wanting to show, time their shows to coincide with winter plumage? I used to show dogs and Belgian Tervurens did better in the winter months because of blowing coat in the summer. Some really aggressive show people would keep their dogs in refrigerated kennels, i mean COLD, during the summer months to get them to keep from blowing their summer coat. Now, I know that's ridiculous and have no intention of putting my birds in the freezer until I am ready to eat them, lol. BUT, back to my original question, Is volume seasonal? Would crossing in cochins be bad?

Sorry i meant lots of pictures, i have tons and tons of photos from the very beginning up until now with the new line being started....

this project has been so much fun and we really like how far we have gotten and the direction our lavender orps are headed. The future is looking very bright for all of are American lavender orpingtons who are working on and with them.. will be much diversity in this country before its all said and done.. keep on your project folks.. were all getting there..

if using cochins that would take you in a different direction of the American orpington, but if one would want or like that, you surly could do that with a project, For us we like the american type and that shall be our ultimate gaol for ours..

Tuff great pic's.....

Mine will also be sticking to the American standard with good exhibition black orp stock.

I'm getting there Charlie, they are so much fun to watch grow out. I get lots of compliments even from the State Inspectors!
