Hi Guys, I'd like to see some pics of your Lavender Orps, I'm planning on getting some eggs soon and I'd like to get an idea of what I can expect. Thanks
 
Here are a couple of my light lavender ones. I also have a dark lav roo and three black, unknown split hens. I can't remember off hand when they hatched. April?

These are two shots of the same pullet. She is nearing point of lay. They are slow to mature compared to my other breeds.

I have a question... and this will help you in the future Rareroo. Is it typical for the males to be late in crowing? My Lav Orp Roo Just crowed for the first time yesterday. I was so happy because he is 8 months old! Such a big boy too. Is this normal?
 
Lavender orpington are only in the UK (and other countries), up until a few years ago when folks started breeding for them here. The US versions are lavender projects because they haven't been bred long enough to be called pure. Although we're close.
