So I purchased a dozen lavender orpington eggs last year from a local lady to add a new bloodline to my stock. When I hatched them I did not get lavender orpingtons, lol, I got these beauties instead!
I know they are lavender and ameraucana or easter eggers (I would call them EE just to be sure) and they lay mintish and light blue eggs but I also hatch and sell baby chicks.
Is he a lavender crele, or just a lavender? He has what I believe is a crele pattern but I am definitely no expert.
If he is a crele will the chicks be crele? I'm looking for help and insight so I know how to label them properly and also to show them off because they are beautiful. I've just been calling them lavender ee because I don't want to mislead anyone.
Thanks for looking!!

The little I know about showing off chickens relates to the 4-H poultry show at our local county fair. But the judges will eliminate birds that do not follow the breed characteristics. They can be very particular. I don't know if they have some category for mixed breeds, but I don't think I would claim them to be any particular breed if you are sure they are a cross of breeds.

If you have a local 4-H chapter, an advisor might be able to help you in the aspects of determining what breed(s) of chickens you have. They sure are nice looking. Good luck.

That looks like lavender barring for sure. But I'm not as familiar with the wild type/ crele. The pattern on the young chicks could be another clue, for those who know about it. Following for sure. Also be sure to follow me and pm me tons of spam ads with pics of these to remind me to order them later😍😍😍

I decided to list them as lavender easter easter (chance of crele). Here's more pics!!

Chance of barring maybe? I usually just put lavender ee with pics and sell out immediately. I think they are really pretty and a happy accident that they weren't the lavender orpingtons I thought they were when I bought the eggs
