Can this be used as coop bedding?

Planers and jointers put out a surprisingly large volume of output because it’s all fluffed up shavings. If you have a somewhat consistent source, it’s likely a very good choice for the coop and you’re using all your waste too.
What you have is basically the same thing as what comes in bedding shavings bales, those are just sifted for size grading and then compressed into the bale.
Most woods are likely ok, but there are definitely some that have high content of resins, aromatics, and/or chemical compounds that could potentially harm smaller animals like a chicken. Black walnut and cedar come to mind as common woods a woodworker might be using that could be questionable.
If you don’t want to use it for the chickens, use it for garden mulch or add it into your compost pile for browns.

(If it's black walnut don't use it for mulch, it can kill other plants that are sensitive to the compounds in it. I've read conflicting info on whether or not it's safe for composting.)
