I really dont know tbh. Though if it was hardwood would it damage them in any way?
Not sure. When I was showing horses, I know of some owners that had black walnut toxicity affect their horses. I didn't see any indication that chickens suffered from it. Most chickens will not eat shavings. If they have no more aroma than pine shavings, I'd use them.

Planers and jointers put out a surprisingly large volume of output because it’s all fluffed up shavings. If you have a somewhat consistent source, it’s likely a very good choice for the coop and you’re using all your waste too.
What you have is basically the same thing as what comes in bedding shavings bales, those are just sifted for size grading and then compressed into the bale.
Most woods are likely ok, but there are definitely some that have high content of resins, aromatics, and/or chemical compounds that could potentially harm smaller animals like a chicken. Black walnut and cedar come to mind as common woods a woodworker might be using that could be questionable.
If you don’t want to use it for the chickens, use it for garden mulch or add it into your compost pile for browns.

Were you using a planer or.....?
As long as they didn't come from another flock's coop, I'd not worry about it.
There are thousands of kinds of insects around, very few of them are chicken pests.
Yeah i was using a planer, nah it didnt come form another coop.
