Can two varieties of chicken of the same breed, cross breed?

I am pretty sure they can since different types of chickens can like a plymouth crossed with a rhode island red what i am talking about just to clarify is when two chickens same size and breed but only different colored feather

for example in my case BBR x Silver duckwing = ? will they be separate colors or colored mix or both and also dose it matter who is the father or mother or will they still come out as suggested above
 
Hi, yes it is possible for different colors to mix. They will be duckwings but the color will probably be poor for either one. If you do not have to cross them I wouldn't.
