Just ate a banana and thought hmmm the chickens might like this then checked treat list and said "banana without peal"????

Oh - didn't see that! I've been giving mine banana peels and they just eat whatever banana "meat" is left in the peel and leave the rest alone. They ate them a few days ago and all are just fine.

Maybe the list states what they "will" eat as opposed to what they won't eat.... ?

Mine stick their beaks up at banana peels. But I read a great tip to stick them in your garden around your plants.

Ours wont touch them. They will eat styrofoam and cardboard but no banana peels!

I don't feed the peel, I'd just have to go pick it up out of the yard later.

It has crossed my mind to chop it up into small bits though

Same here except mine won't even eat the banana. Maybe it depends on how ripe it is.

At least they know what they like.

Mine like it when I peel the stringy meat from the banana peel. It looks like worms or spaghetti. Yummy.
