Can you make a hen go broody?

. Breeding doesn't affect the eggs for consumption.
It’s not the consumption I’m worried about, it’s that when I go on vacations and I leave somebody to simply make sure they have food and water and let them out, that I won’t have fertilized, hen-incubated eggs when I get home

Unless broody, the hens won't sit on eggs long enough for them to develop.
Internal egg temperature will need to be 90+ for several hours at a time for cell division.
Ok, I don’t want to kill any eggs, so do you know of any strong signs of broodiness?
