Can you sex eggs?

What do I do with all the male eggs? Chunk um? I told her I hatched by order. Meaning I only hatch when I have orders for them. She thought I meant she could just order hens and that's what I would hatch for her since that's what she would be ordering. Should tell her all my eggs are males, she'll have to wait until spring for female eggs!

sure you can, only incubate hen eggs and not those rooster eggs! lol

DNA testing is the most likely solution. The problem is the cost and the time delay to get results. Let's give this problem to the Japanese. We should have working models from them by New years!

has anyone ever tried to manipulate the sex of chickens with slightly different temps in a really nice bator? It works for reptiles? just wondering, I know we have alot of mad backyard scientist on the byc. I cant wait till spring to start new cross breeds myself. Its loads of fun, and they all taste yummy if it doesnt pan out.

Well, I have two hens who I have only hatched cockerels from their eggs never a pullet. But I have yet to find a hen whose eggs only hatch pullets.
