Can you sex eggs?

If you find a thread unhelpful, move to another one that helps you. None of this thread had any hint of "hate laced advice" nor did we make fun of anyone. What we did is share the obvious humor of the age old problem of telling male from female before hatching.

Oh and just for the record, I don't live on a farm, my house is large and clean, and I have two degrees from the university (one of which is in Biology). Sorry, I just don't fit your profile, and my guess is the others don't either.

LOL, I'm fairly new to the chicken world and if anyone is making fun of me on chat for my stupid questions...whatever. I don't care. If someone is mean, that's on them.

But c'mon?!?! Can you sex eggs? That's like 3rd grade material.

Wow, this is pretty harsh. You are a infrequent visitor on here at best. There are some awesome folks on here whose only desire is to help people learn, mostly from their own experiences. Some have logged hours and spent lifetimes gathering infomation to share with others. Sometimes a little humor is inserted. If that offends you, move on to something more helpful.

Wait a minute now! I have read where an old farmer said that the more pointy an egg was, the bigger the odds it were to be a roo!

When I started working with chickens my father in law thought I bleached my white eggs. We all had a great laugh. He also thought you needed roosters for a hen to lay eggs. Again we all had a great laugh. We had even more fun with it because he was raised on a farm and had chickens growing up.
It's ok to laugh. They are the silly questions we happily answer. It's still silly questions to us though.

I like the pendulum idea over the egg

.. I'm a wicca, maybe i'll try that and then see what happens, of course I'll have to get back to everyone in ooo 7-8mons..when the roos start to crow and the hens start to lay..LOL but its an idea.. I'll give it a shot and see how crazy it works or not..

the temp control is very interesting too.
