Can you tell me why the egg looks like this?

Did you find this egg in the nest box or coop? Looks like you may have an egg eater and they have pecked at the egg to get to the goodies inside. Was the egg empty on the inside?

It was on top of the coop. First time I've found it and it's real bumby could they be lacking in some nutrition?

Could be a calcium problem, do you have them on the layer pellets? Do they have oyster shell available?

I think your egg looks like what they list as a pimpled egg.
