Anyone in Ottawa, Ontario area that is raising Japanese Coturnix quail? Looking for the regular brown (not Tibetan) variety. I've one seller in mind but looking for alternates. Hoping for chicks but may be interested in pullets/hens/roos or even hatching eggs at this point. Just want to start up a small & healthy flock before Autumn arrives.

Would totally be willing to do trades later on to keep genetic lines healthy.^^

the animal auction is on Tuesdays starting @ 2pm. There are also at least two vendors outside selling birds / animals among the flea market stands, but Sunday, July 8th there is a poultry show & sale.

Yeah I saw that ad on Kijiji, though I didn't know it was the Lachute till you posted (earlier). I'm actually moving this week so won't make the event. But I'll def try to attend the next ones when I can. Thank you for all that info!

There was a wide variety of birds @ the Lachute buy sell trade today! I found and brought home a very friendly Sea bright hen chick today! I did not find any Cayuga ducks or Gold Laced Wyandottes but tuesday @ 2pm brings another auction @ Lachute!

Hi from Québec..

We bought a 35 hectares kand last year so now we can have chickens...

For now we have

30 Sasso chickens
2 ameraucana lavander pullet
1 black améraucana pullets
8 silkies white, black, blue and silver red partridge
16 Chantecler...1 roo.. 1 pullet 5 chicks that I hatched and 9chicks from the Boulianne blue line that I bought 2 monts ago...

Now looking for fly tye fishing breed like Sonnerat (grey jungle fowl) grizzly (like Bluedunn's bird), blue dunn etc...

Hope to find infos here and naybe help sonebody with something.
