Hi! From the Lower Mainland of BC! I have been using this forum to find so much information! As a new (2 months in) member of the crazy-chicken-lady club I have much to learn! First lesson (that I had to learn the hard way) was to pace myself! I have 27 birds right now including chicks.

I'm in north central Alberta, but originally hail from the big bad city of Toronto.

just wondering how is the smoke over there? saw on the news you guys in Alberta are getting pretty bad with forest fires already (thinking about high river) and saw the football game was delayed due to smoke.

We had two bad days of smoke down south otherwise good. Up north from what I hear is not so good.

It was pretty heavy for a day or so, then it blew back north. I think just west of Edmonton (Spruce Grove) even had black skies. Ash even made it this far south.

We've got thunderstorm warnings right now, but lately every time one is predicted it just blows around us.
I do hope that the dragonflies come out soon. The mosquitoes are really bad. At night you can hear a drone, like a massive swarm of bees, they're so bad!

same here was supposed to rain most of the week now where lucky to see one drop.

and so true about the bugs, they are awful right now and i have no idea where they come from its so dry. but where not that bad they sound bees.
