Anywhere near Coal Lake? Loved NWT. I was in Norman Wells working as head cook in an oil rig camp. 675 miles northwest of Yellowknife. I cooked for 250 men. 5 women in camp. They treated me like one of the guys, which I loved and they looked out for me. It was a hoot. I also worked in the Beaufort Sea on an ice breaker as a cook. That lasted 2 weeks and I got back on dry land. I went back to Norman Wells. Light 24/7 in the summer and dark 24/7 in the winter. Hated winters. Loved the summers.Leduc is about an hour and a half southeast of me. I love Alberta. I don't think you could pay me enough to move back to Ontario. The humidity is reason enough alone. How did you like NWT?
