You're very fortunate, chantecler, the breed is often difficult to obtain. I have a friend in Great Village NS who travels to NB and might be interested in some chicks. She's been looking for them here for a long time. Thank you!
I'm new to the chicken thing too. I got my bubbubs (that's what I call my chickens....sad I know....
) in May!
Anyhoo I got my Chantecler Chicks ( heritage chickens) from Genetic Preservation in Quebec. They shipped them to NB.
They are awesome to deal with and the birds are beautiful. http://www.geocities.com/erisso01/11f2.html
You need to order in January for some of the rarer breeds.
You can also try Rare Breeds Canada web site that has a list of breeder of heritage animals
There is also Canadian Egg swappers 2, a MSN group. You have to join the group in order to access the forum. It was kind of hard for me to find but it's there. http://groups.msn.com/CANADIANCHICKENEGGSWAPPERS2
That should be a good start.
By the way Welcome! and a word of warning:
"chickens are addictive!!"

I think Eric from Preservation has decided to get out of selling chickens which is a great shame. You could try http://www.performancepoultry.com/index.php in Prince Edward County in Ontario they have a good selection.
