Candled eggs are they babies or yolks?

Can you see veins or any movement?
I saw some movement in them. They are at the stage where they are too big to see anything except for a big black mass and the airsack. Oh and the hen started to get off her nest and wander around with the baby who hatched already. I removed the baby and have her in a brooder, was that the right thing to do?

It depends on the hen how well they can raise chicks, she probably could’ve kept it and done fine, but if you want to make sure it survives and she doesn’t reject it at a later point or anything, it’s up to you.

You don't want to use water as it will remove the protective bloom and allow bacteria through the pores. I remove as much as possible without scrubbing.
Thanks! Okay, I will clean the eggs. I candles the 2 that stayed clean. They are both very much alive and moving around! I am not sure about the others though. I will keeping hoping.

I just had a chick photo shoot. Pumpkin, (that's what I named the chick!) Loves the camera!
