>~Candles~< An elemental fairy roleplay

Hyssa glanced at the blue haired girl sprawled out at the edge of the clearing, but didn't give her much thought. She softly said "I know because it happened to me too." She swiftly returned to her brusque manner as the girl asked for food. "There's plenty of food around here; you just need to know where to look." she paused, unsure about her next step. "You have... promise. Would... Would you like to join me on my mission to destroy the... Thing... that destroyed our families?" She exhaled, relieved that she had let that out, but unsure of how the girl would react.
"Of course!" Assarie breathed. "I know it's wrong to seek revenge, but I can't help it. I don't know whether it's crazy or not because of what I saw. I have some clues that might help us to find out what the Thing is."

Assarie began to inform her of what she had seen in the foxhole where her parents had been. She had never talked about it before and she didn't like it. "There was just blood everywhere." She said. "And bloody paw prints, they looked like a jaguar or something but much bigger. My parents' bodies..." Here Assarie's voice broke off and tears streamed down her face, but she took a deep breath and continued. "They were kind of half chewed on. Like gnawed. As if they were a chew toy." There was anger rising up in her voice. "But they weren't eaten. They looked as if they had been killed for sport! Out of all the pain the Thing cause me it didn't even bother to eat its catch!" A fire burned in her eyes, but seeing the girl's gaze they softened.

Hyssa nodded, digesting this information. "It was a little different with me. My parents were lying slain next to some light fae. At first I thought they had fought and died, but looking back, their wounds did not come from a human.

"My parents looked like they had fought too." Assarie said. "You know, no matter how terrible it is, it makes me feel a little better to talk about it to someone who knows what it feels like. It makes me feels like I'm not alone, and I know I'm not."

Hyssa shuffled her feet uncomfortably. She wasn't sure what to say. She brusquely cleared her throat and began walking, motioning for Assarie to walk by her.

Hyssa began drilling Assarie for information. "Have you seen any signs of the thing since your parents were killed?"
