>~Candles~< An elemental fairy roleplay

Assarie, being smart, took a moment to do nothing but look at the rope. Since she didn't have a knife she untied the knot in a few seconds. "There." She said triumphantly. She watched as the boy hit the ground, then helped him up. "How did you even get caught in that?" She asked.

Dust snorted. He didn't need help. He said so... It just might take until sundown to get down, so what? Er... wait. He tried to pull himself up to reach his feet, and he couldn't. What, you had to be some kind of professional gymnast to do this? By the time he was climbing up his own clothes, someone screamed.
He looked up -or rather down to find a girl running towards him. Oh great, another one. He wondered if she was going to 'help' too.
"Nononono- Waaagh!" He said. He hit the ground flat on his back. Then his eyes flew open. Wait, how do you breathe? I can't breathe! Gasping for air, he lay there for what seemed like forever. Then slowly, a tiny breath at a time, his wind began to return.

Assarie noticed the boy wasn't talking. "Did I knock the wind out of you?" She asked, feeling bad. "Probably did." She muttered to herself. Why couldn't she do anything right in her life? It was the dumb adventure thing all over again. She sighed. "Sorry." She said. But as she heard laughter she turned her head, and she saw a girl there who was, sure enough, laughing. Assarie turned around the rest of the way and asked gently. "What's so funny?"

Hyssa was doubled over, snorting with laughter.

"I'm... Fine." He said between breaths. Then he sat upright, glaring at the laughing girl. This forest was supposed to be his place of solitude, a way to get away from things that he could hurt. And yet here were two sightseers. Just happened upon him at his most unfortunate moment. "What is this, the happy bunny trail? Don't you know there are wild animals in these woods?"

Hyssa spoke between laughs. "How do you.. snort.... not see... chuckle.... the hilarity of this situation?"

Hyssa's laughter subsided and she straightened. "Anyways, I'd better be on my way." she said, shaking her head and chuckling. And then stopping and frowning. No. No smiles. No happy. Dark and death. She stepped into a shadow and melting away, reappearing near the top of a pomegranate tree, plucking one of the tart red fruits, deftly split it, and began sucking on the sweet, tangy juice. She swung her crossed legs and continued to watch the scene below her with waning interest. She didn't really have anything else to do.
