Candling, Alive or Dead?

Hi this is my first time incubating an egg.. it was taken from my job site after the parents were killed.. im not sure how long ago, if anyone could give me some guidance.. thank you

That's alright, do you have a rough estimate, though? A day, a week, 2 weeks? It's honestly a 50/50 chance when you find an egg like that. What bird was it's parents?
Gotcha, yea I originally found the nest on March 28th but it didn’t look complete yet so I wasn’t sure about if the mom started yet.. a Canadian goose..
 
Oh okay if it's a Canadian goose it may still have a chance. I misjudged the size of the egg. I would incubate it until it has reached about 10 days in your incubator, and then check it again. Since it doesn't look like development began while the goose was sitting lets base it off of when you set it in your incubator.
