I am currently having a broody hen sit on a egg for me for 5 days to see if i have a rooster or a hen in my coop (that's the 'it').
I thought that if I left a egg under my wyandotte (broody one) for a week it would start to develope enough for me to see if the eggs I were collecting were fertilized.
To put a long story short I want chicks and I am trying to convince my mum to let me, and finding out if i have a rooster is one of the mandatory fundamentals
I am hoping to have a rooster, because that would send me a step in the right direction!!!
So basically I am calling on the BYC members that have candled fertilized eggs before, and possibly may have pictures of the eggs from the days up to day 5-6.
Thankyou!!! Mucho appreciated!!!
