Candling late eggs

Hi All
ive incubated 4 yearsor so quite a few eggs but always dark eggs so seldom saw veins. Now im incubating silkies eggs so the veins are a new experience to me...
Question
If some of my eggs are late and i see shadowed forms and NO veins are they dead?...Would i be able to see veins at hatch date or only black forms no veins at this point?

The veins get harder to see late in incubation as the chick is filling up more of the space. If I DO see veins, I know the chick is still viable but if I don't towards the end, it doesn't mean its not. How late are they? If they are past day 21, have not internally pipped and you can't see any movement OR veins, I would not be very hopeful. However if I can see they've pipped internally, I let them stay in for another day.
