Okay guys so I got some cotton earbuds and wet the membrane, and broke off some small pieces of shell. It must have got stuck in a dry membrane because within half hour it had managed to get itself out. Appears to have already absorbed the yolk and it got out of the shell completely - no umbilical or anything still attached. I’ve even seen it pass waste. ive had to hold the incubator lid down because it was pushing it open! It’s not dry yet and I tried putting it in the brooder but the other chick started pecking it loads. I’m going to try again when it’s drier.
