Candling question

I'm at day 5 I guess. I started them 12/19 @ 6PM. What exactly am I suppose to see, if anything. I can see an air pocket on the end is that normal??? These are Dominques and are light brown eggs, hard to see through..

Also, When you go to "lock down" you stop turn the eggs and raise the humidity. Do you take the eggs out of the turner and lay sideways?

For brown eggs, you may want to wait until day 10, then you should start to see veins running through the egg. There is a great sticky at the top of this section that shows pictures, you may want to look through those for help.
Also, at lockdown, I would take them out of the turner so the chicks won't have an obstacle course to navigate through when they hatch.
