candling question

Hello, I am just curious. If I hold the light to the side of the egg instead of the bottom while candling does it effect the results?

When I've candled eggs, I've done both. It hasn't affected the results when I've done it-- either way, I can usually see whether the egg is fertile/developing or not. Personally, I think that holding the light to the large end works better than the side.
