Baby birds like robins are very difficult to raise. Most people who attempt it on newly hatched babies end up aspirating them.

I work in wildlife rehabilitation and even with seasoned pros, the mortality rate of hatchlings of birds like robins is through the roof.

When we have eggs brought to us we do not incubate. more than half of the time, the baby will die a painful death.... aspiration, etc.

But I guess I understand the curiosity factor and the reluctance to give up, and the reassurance that "hey, how different can this be from a duckling?"

But really, I highly encourage you to not incubate, especially since raising native wildlife without a licence is illegal in most areas.
