I posted on another thread about my broody hen, but since I candled all 32 of her eggs that I found in her secret nest (10 days after she went missing) I thought I'd give this thread a shot.
Her eggs are light brown. I didn't see ANY veining. At all. I figure that most of her eggs are probably between 4 -10 days old. I tossed most of the ones from the bottom but left her with more than enough.. Will the veining be really obvious? I feel like that is a dumb question, and that I already know the answer but I want to make sure. I felt terrible having to make a decision on which eggs were good and bad when I wasn't 100% sure.
I've checked out all the candling pics and for the most part I can tell where the air sac is, when there is a blood ring and when there is something inside the egg.. I'm pretty sure that I can identify if it's fertile or not.. But the veining thing has me all stressed out. Because if it is BLATANTLY obvious, then she's sitting on a whole bunch of eggs that are either not viable or haven't started to develop yet....
Thanks in advance for any tips!!
