Canker sores

Here's a pic showing the one right at the edge of her beak. She has another one that's more white looking further back in her throat. I started her on on Fish Mox yesterday, so she's had 250mg yesterday and 125mg so far today. The yellow one you can see wasn't there 2 days ago. In fact, this morning I thought it was a stuck piece of food and when I tried to brush it off realized that it was NOT food. She's being tube fed Kaytee baby bird food, probiotics, oxytetracyline and is gaining weight. I've also orders some acidified copper sulfate for the water. It will be here Tuesday. This gal is in the house while I treat her-not only is it easier but I can't imagine dealing with 105 degrees every day would be helpful to her. I'll start the water as soon as it gets here. 3 days in a row monthly?

A necropsy performed by the state vet or a college poultry lab might be a good thing to get, if Polly's body can be refrigerated, and sent on ice. Many things can cause the yellow plaques in the throat such as wet or diphtheritic fowl pox, ILT, and other respiratory diseases.
x2, and add cancer to that list.

I also have a hen that looks to have canker. I ordered fish zole but in the meantime have been using vetrx for pigeon until it comes in. When it does come in do I split the 250mg pill in half dissolve in warm water and given orally 2x a day? And for how many day should I treat?

How much does your hen weigh?
