Canker sores

I was afraid to do that, as from what I've read if it IS canker it can make it grow faster. The one further down her throat looks exactly like a human canker sore. No yellow cheesy stuff. Her breath doesn't smell at all. (I actually smell my birds regularly so I know what they normally smell like LOL ) Thinking maybe yeast?

Can you pull just some out and take a picture of it? With my pigeon I removed all of it and it didn't grow back.

That's what I read as well. Going to continue the metronidazole treatment for the full 5 days and see if there's improvement. I worry about making it worse if I remove it. I've looked at a TON of pics online and it looks like canker. Won't hurt her to treat with the fish zole so onward we charge!

Good news. After 3 days on the metronidazole her cankers are getting better. The one in the photo I uploaded on this thread is almost completely gone and the one back in her throat is barely visible. I'm treating her flockmate as well as a precaution, since they were sharing the same water/food. Sophie is still being tube fed and kept inside during the day, but around 6pm she gets her last feeding and I let her out to roam with Bella and sleep in the coop. She did a little bit of foraging last night (her first time out in a week) and hoping as the cankers go away and she gains more strength and interest in foraging that I can move her back to the coop and free-range by next weekend. The weather has a lot to say about it though. Temps over 105 every day right now.
