Canker treatment

I have a 2 yr old Roo I have been treating for Canker
Using 250mg Metronidazole 1x daily
He has been on this for 3 days
He had nasty yellow like growths in his mouth the poor boy.

Well wondering if this is a good sign today when I brought him in to give him his meds some of the icky growths were kind of hard and the fell out of his mouth?

Will they do that as they get better.

He seems to be feeling alot better, and now there is a clear view in there and really no spots left just looks like a baby with thrush no growths.

Should we be giving him added vitamins too?

I might suggest giving vitamins and probiotics. Canker is an opportunistic condition and is generally more common in stressed or compromised birds - giving him as much support as possible would be a good idea in my opinion.
