Canker

@Wyorp Rock @Eggcessive

I'm not sure, so I tagged a couple of people that might be able to help.
Thank you! I would also like to try to use something other than metro to begin with so if you have any recommendations that would be awesome. Something that I don’t have to worry about egg withdrawals

Do you have any pictures of the inside of the beak that you suspect canker? Vet Rx is simply a mixture of herbal oils-rosemary, oregano, pine, alcohol and camphor in vegetable oil. If metronidazole is indicated, it should not be a problem giving it with VetRx.

No inside she has a yellow strip on the top that looks like an abscess nothing any where else or other sides. It does have a “death” smell to it. She’s still eating drinking bring a normal chicken

Can you get a picture of the inside of the beak? What is the sore on her right lower beak? Could she have injured her beak on something sharp? Here are some pictures and info about canker:

I would try to see a vet to advice about diagnosing if it is canker or something else.

Thank you all for answering but the same day she was attacked and passed. I’ve cleaned and scrubbed everything and change their inside water twice a day just in case it was canker

I'm sorry you lost her, but it mightve been best for the rest of your chickens since canker is contagious via waterters and feeders. Good job sanitizing the waterer.
