I think it is a slow developing cockerel. In picture 3, where the bird is sitting, you can see male feathers starting to peep through on the back. But I agree that this one is a tough call.I am giving my roosters to a fellow farmer tomorrow morning and I cannot determine whether this one is M/F. I purchased from Atwoods around the beginning of October and was told they were 1-2 weeks old. So they should all be around 18 weeks. Two other turned out to be roos and are crowing incessantly so there is no doubt, but I haven't heard a peep from this one.
