Can't decide on meat bird breed, input requested.

Also, since this thread is discussing meat bird breeds, has anyone tried Braggs Mountain Buffs for their table? They're supposed to be a dual-purpose breed but most of what I've heard is how the hens are huge & lay ginormous brown eggs. How do their cockerels do at the table?

Well Thank You! I am going to find some Dark Cornish. My thought is to be able to hatch out some chicks when I am wanting to stock the freezer for a few months. Then do more when I run low.
I still have not attempted to skin them but I am going to try one of these days.
I bought a table top plucker for when I have alot to do, but I sure appreciated the "nubby gloves" when I did the RIR roo the other day. Boy those feathers just stripped off. I found some on sale at Miles Kimball and bought a bunch. I will always find something to use them for.
