Oh I'm so frustrated,
barnie.gif
I realy want to let my two week olds out for a enclosed trip to the yard, so they can enjoy the outside and get a few bugs for a treat, and doing this I need to give them some grit fot their crops.
I've spent the best part of the afternoon going from store to store, starting with TSC and they only have chicken grit,

not suitable for little ones, I also looked for cockateil grit, but all the types I found contain calcium which I've read is bad for their young kidneys.....AAAHHHHH!!! Im in Florida so our dirt is basically dirty sand, any sudgestions welcome please ... thanks

Just use play sand. Or even sand from a playground or beach. That's what I do - It's cheap (free) and easy!

If you let them out, they'll find grit when they dig in the soil. I wouldn't sweat it too much if you have a sandy soil.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, though.

I have used play sand that you should be able to get at any
tsc or landscape supply etc

Parakeet grit in most grocery stores or Walmart. Made by Hartz Mountain. Be careful, they love it and will pig out on it. You don't want their little crops getting impacted. Good luck and have fun with your peeps!

Well thankyou SO much everyone
