Can't find Corid in New Hampshire/Vermont area!

If it helps, look for amprolium products for treating cocci in cattle sections of stores. It is pretty common in calves so generally can be found in the cattle health section. Most stores will say they don't have it when asked about it for chickens, but go look for it in the cattle isle and boom right there.

Well then I'm in trouble because I just got home and my Wyandotte is showing the same symptoms. I have put some of that in her water, given her yogurt with vitamins sprinkled on top and have her separated in the coop so the others don't peck her. I will stop on the way home to see if I can find something else tomorrow but there was nothing to be found in my area at all on Tuesday. Hopefully she will still be hanging on so I'll get a chance to treat her. I'll have to post pics tomorrow because I can't figure out how to do this on an I Pad.

Yep, ask if they have any Corid for cattle or any other meds for them containing amprolium. I know where I live, about mid July they stop selling Corid anywhere near the poultry section since chick season is "over". Unless I knew to look for it where the cattle stuff was I would have gone home without it. Employees told me if it isn't there they don't have it and they didn't know enough to realize the cattle kind is the same kind as what we give chicks. Same package and everything... Just isn't sold in two spots in the store anymore just one.

Personally I prefer the 20% powder over the 9.6% oral solution. Easier for me to keep in a container compared to a liquid which I know I will spill.

Any of these will work

Just a quick update, I ended up finding the Corid powder at Tractor Supply in Claremont. Just to be on the safe side I also bought medicated chick starter to have on hand. Sadly, in addition to Chiclet our Buff Orpington, we lost Kimmie, our Silver Laced Wyandotte over the weekend, she was just too far gone by the time I was able to find the medication and start treating the flock. I am still finding slightly bloody poop in the coop after 3 days of treatment but so far the rest of the girls are quite active, eating and drinking normally. I'll continue treating for a full week and then following the advice of most threads, taking 2 weeks off and then treating for another week. I also upped the dosage to 1 tsp per one gallon of water for the first 2 days and then backed it down to 1/2 tsp per gallon starting last night. Thanks to all for the advice/dosage/support. This really has been a "live and learn" experience, I just wish the learning didn't involve losing my babies.

I am finally getting around to posting a pic of Pollo! I wish I could figure out how to do this on an IPad, all the best pics are on it! Here's our EE that looks like a dove, she really is quite stunning.

You just click on the little icon in the upper left that looks like a picture then when the next box comes up you choose, upload from my device. It's all the way all the top of that box. I only use my iPad and it took me a bit to figure it out.
She is beautiful and is so tiny! Fun to watch I bet.
