There are several members of the board that raise silkies in various states. You could try looking in the auction listings on this site or contacting some of them via PM. You could probably find some of them by checking out the silkie threads. If you're just looking for pet quality silkies, you could try ordering some from a hatchery. I know Ideal sells a variety of silkie colors, and Meyer sells a few as well.

Quote:You might want to post where you are. A couple hundred live at my house as well as breeders all over the US, so they are out there. The heat of summer make shipping out of the question until fall, but if your willing to day trip I'm sure you can find some. Good Luck!

It took me a LOOONG time to get mine. I searched craigslist and just like you couldn't come up with anything. I had the hardest time. I finally had to travel a pretty good distance to get two and then they were both roos and had to sell one which took some time. I just recently, like maybe two weeks ago, had someone meet me from another state for a buff silkie. I am planning on her hatching me out some. All I can say is good luck. They sure are hard to find. I guess everyone wants them.
