sorry its my first time and I'm really nervous plus I have anxiety so that doesn't help

You should have seen me last week, I was literally bawling because one of my eggs died (this is my first ever duck hatch and first hatch in general since I was a teenager). I TOTALLY understand being nervous!

I have anxiety too but it's mostly hormone-related and therefore controllable, thank goodness. Just remember we're all here for ya, and there's a huge amount of great information for you to help take great care of your baby duckies!

What feed do you give them? If you have a TSC in your area the Dumor chick starter/grower (itll have a pic of a chick and a duck on the front)has the appropriate amount of niacin in it and no extra vitamins are needed.

Is this true for the adult ducks? We were told anything that is considered chicken feed will not have enough niacin for adult ducks whether they are laying or not. Thank you

Im not sure, my ducks are still young and I haven't switched their feed yet. But from what I have read the Dumor chick starter/grower has enough niacin in it to keep it healthy and legs strong without add vitamins. I then have read that once they are grown they are fine on a chicken layer feed and don't need the extra niacin, I think they need the extra amount for the first 10 weeks or so. I am definitely no expert but what I have found in my searches.

Thanks guys :) I'm using a chick feed I got at pets at home and it says its suitable for ducklings as well? I'm gonna get some b3 at sainsburys and crush it in there food :)

So I'm gonna get these b3 pills from sainsburys shall I crush one up in every bowl of food I give them? Will that be ok or too much?

You could try putting it in their feed, not sure of the taste though. just put it on one bowl a day for 10-12 weeks. [to keep the powder from falling to the bottom of the bowl you might want to lightly moisten their feed] then sprinkle the b3 over top that way it will stay on top and not fall to the bottom, just be sure to change out food daily since moistened food will mold and spoil quickly.

Ok thank you :)
I think the task will just be like a plain taste
I will check its just plain B3 anointing thing is I didn't know it was the same niacin I could have got it there and then!!
