It would be nice if you could try it first. I looked at Kens. Sounds like a good place. Hopefully the store will come thru for you. If not, it sounds like you have a plan!

Those are so pretty! I need to go check out our wm. they usually don't have anything that pretty, but I usually don't look very closely. I may have to rethink that!!I'm still not 100% sure which machine I want, but I think I can get used to the lack of speed control on the Brother 1500. I've cranked up my machine's speed to the max and am controlling it much better now, though it's top speed is not nearly as fast as the ones I'm considering. I'm having a hard time justifying buying the pricier Juki, but if I could find a good deal on one, I'd probably go that route. Got a lot of great fabric today at Walmart, mostly David Textiles, a great manufacturer. Couldn't believe the fall-like colors-she said they got fall fabrics early, good for me!

Fantastic! Just beautiful! Sorry to hear about issues with retailers. The Chattanooga place never answered my second email. The other place in Knoxville never answered my first one to them. Geez. I'm going to be forced to buy online unless I buy a brand I don't want.
Anyway, this fall medallion quilt just needs a final narrow border all around to frame it and it's a completed top. The purple at the top is the quilt underneath-I haven't gone colorblind, lol.

Yes quilting is definitely a cool weather activity!Thank you. It's getting harder and harder to quilt in the heat now. I'd like to finish a couple of the smaller projects before I just hang it up until fall.
