Gee, never thought of that. I have a Singer XL 1000, old model now but still my favorite of all time, loads of decorative stitching….Gotta try that soon.
Can't Machine Quilt...Why Does Machine Skip?

It's a little more difficult to keep the binding straight when its folded over to the front, and since it is on the front that is important. I used a lot of straight pins to keep it in place while I sewed, I pinned the entire side before I started sewing. But it was a rally nice touch for the baby quilt. Quicker that whip stitching the binding to the back.

No, I've only done up to queen. I don't do king, nuh-uh. My SIL asked me that, if I could do a bed quilt for her. I told her she couldn't afford it, LOL. My hands can't afford it. My hands won't last through a king, I'm afraid. I could piece a king top and have, but someone else would have to quilt it. I am taking forever trying to do my own queen bed quilt because I have to hand quilt the entire thing. I will machine attach the binding to the front, but have to whipstitch it to the backing-not looking forward to that part.
Both baby quilts are ready to stitch the binding to the back. Here is the last one, entirely machine quilted for once.

It's mostly because of my hands and the carpal tunnel, Robin. I'd love to do bed quilts for people but I can rarely commit to one because I never know if I will be able to finish it. I wouldn't mind piecing one for someone if they want to take it to be quilted professionally or by another person they know, but a king is a daunting project to me.
