Can't Machine Quilt...Why Does Machine Skip?

I finished the wallhanging except for the sleeve on the back and found it also makes a good recliner/chair throw. Still not happy with some of the quilting but I guess it's okay. I can't figure how much is my terrible perfectionism or just bad technique showing through, sigh. How much bad is too bad?

From what I can see of the quilting, I think it looks lovely. I think that with free motion quilting, you can go by a pattern, or self expression. I don't think most people will look at it and say that it is "bad". Unless someone is an expert quilter, no one will know it isn't supposed to look like this. If anyone says anything, tell them you were just going with your feelings, or something to that affect!

I can't see anything wrong.

Thank you. It's not bad unless you look closely, LOL. I put it on my dining table today and I like it for that use. It's in my Etsy shop now so we'll see if someone else likes it, too.

I'm fine here just busy trying to stay cool. I have been doing a little bit of canning and just got a couple geese that I am trying to figure out what sex they might be and what breed combination. LOL How are you doing? Did you get that new sewing machine yet?

No, ma'am, I haven't yet. Will do that as soon as I have a few more $$ saved up. We're canning our bums off; making salsa on the stove right now.

Wow salsa sounds yummy. Our tomatoes didn't fovwell but hope to buy some at the Amish produce auction. I'm new to canning & I am having a ball

We finished the salsa, did 13 pints. Last year, we only got 8 and my SIL's husband begged one off me he liked it so much. So, this year, it's spicier, less sweet (more salsa maters over regular ones) and should be good. The rest of the tomatoes will go for stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce and maybe chili, if we have enough. We already have 19 pints of spaghetti sauce from the tomatoes.
