Solved Can't upload pictures - file too big

If you have a problem again, try the "Upload a File" button under the reply box and let me know if that works.

I think I've sorted it. My phones seems to be saving pictures as a massive file, but if I crop it like Tattooedchicks said it uploads no problems. Thanks for your help.

I get that too when I have full resolution pics uploaded from my nice camera to my phone. If I crop them even slightly the phone will automatically resize the image and the upload onto BYC goes perfectly.

Thanks for advice. That seems to have worked. I don't know why phone saves pictures so big but cropping it works.

Thanks for the help! Our system should be able to support even really big pics, but should also be resizing them automatically.

The test image I've been supplied with is over 20 megapixels. I think there is a value which we need to specifically set to allow larger images than this.

Fixed:

$config['maxImageResizePixelCount'] = 25000000;

We are now allowing upto 25 mega pixels to be uploaded and processed.

I'm jealous of you folks that have internet fast enough to upload 20-25 MB files. My largest pictures are 8-10 MB and they would take forever to upload with our internet.
