These are really beautiful and even more so that they have to forge for all of their sustenance…except for you as their friendly neighbor. :) I guess they had a very good hatching season to have such a bumper crop.

This is the present (there have been a few) "Hop-a-long", that regularly comes for breakfast but is always the last one to show up, sometimes even after the others have left, but it quietly calls to me to let me know it has arrived and I make sure it (and its mate) gets some supplementary food. Its mate is patient and stays with it.
Hop-a-long is good at roof-hopping, going from house top to house top, rather than along the streets with the others.
