Captain Jack for mites. Yay, or nay?

The .001% or the .5% product?
Thanks for asking!

I have 0.5% Spinosad in my Bottle

Get a picture of what he bought.
I'll help you calculate how to mix it.

@casportpony might have it already calculated out.

This *cannot* be used, it's too diluted, it's only 0.001%.View attachment 1547090

This is the one I have. I was hoping for the concentrated bottle that Ron has because I thought I might be able to get creative mixing the percentages. As of today I didn't spray any ON the birds yet, but I did spray it in the coop & gave the birds a solid poultry dusting again.

My mother & her sister are here for a few days. Please keep posting what works for you & what doesn't & I'll be checking in whenever I can sneak off.

Look up pictures of poultry lice verses poultry lice.

Mites require a MUCH more careful coop cleaning than lice, since lice live on the bird, mites live in the coop.

As to egg withdrawal... a little dewormer might be exactly what ya need. ;) Maybe ask the doc for a little extra. :lau

I've looked at the pics & I really believe its mites. I don't see them on the other birds but I did see them in the nesting boxes yesterday & on the two broodies. They are tiny black specks & Frankie has seen some slightly bigger red specks.
