Wow! By using Lucky's medicated water to moisten his bread he's basically drank 1/2 quart of water today!...I don't have to worry about him getting dehydrated or his crop becoming impacted and I know he's getting the medicine too!!! He also ate almost all his egg again and took a few nibbles out of the mashed bannana...good boy
Here are a couple shots of the sling I made him to keep his broken leg from moving...Just used some self sticking wrap under his leg (tucked up agains his body) and then one goes under his belly and under both wings tied near his rump and the other strip goes under the leg, diagonally across his chest, comes up over his left shoulder and tied to the other end that goes under his right wing, tied near his shoulder blades....It doesn't seem to bother him at all, he still stands on the good leg and now the broken one isn't moving around at all, I check that foot a few times a day and it hasn't swollen up again at all, so I think I finally did it and can leave his poor leg alone!
