Raven looked to Terrick then to the bandits. She shook her head to clear it then pulled her dagger and cut a clean portion of a cloak off of one of them and walked over to Terrick, making a pad and strips as she did. She knelt down beside him and started to tend to his cut. "Pike...is dead" She said softly. She had liked the caravan guard in the short time she had known him.

"Umm...uuhh" Linden struggled through the haze, staring at Mavis and the bloody sword without seeing it. "I-I don't know..." His hands began blindly searching through the bandit's pockets, but came up with nothing. "I can't find one... sorry. Take my jacket, its... its..." He paused, suddenly drawing a blank.

"Its to your right, in the crevice." Mavis finished dully. Miraculously, the boy was still standing, a look of shock, horror and disgust painted plainly across his pale face.

As Raven's words sunk in, Terrick felt like someone had just punched him in the gut. Venturing into this hell hole had been at Terrick's prompting and, though the day had seen many of his companions die, he felt personally responsible for Pike's death.

He barely felt Raven patching up the wound, at least as good as it could be patched with bits of a cloak. "How did he..." he let the rest of the question go unasked, unsure if he was really ready to hear the details. "Nevermind." For a few moments, he closed his eyes, pushing away the thoughts that threatened to consume him. They were all still in an incredible amount of danger and would be until they could get clear of the caves and back to the caravan. Who knew if another wave of the bandit scum were ready to burst in at any moment.

"Help me up," he asked Raven, holding out a hand after she had finished with the bandage.

Raven stayed quiet as she fixed the bandages. She stood and took his hand when he asked to help him stand. "We need to get out of these tunnels, quickly" She said softly.

Linden breathed out a long, exhausted breath and rubbed his eyes. They needed to start moving again, now. His experience in the cave had given him the opportunity to meet many of the bandits, and their new leader. He hadn't seen Algar yet, that worried him. Was there another wave of bandits yet to come?

"Here..." His fingers gently pried the sword from Mavis's cold hands. "Come with me, we have to get out of here now." He looked back to Terrick and Raven. "Can you manage him?" He asked Raven, thinking that it might make more sense for him to help Terrick and Raven help Maple and Mavis instead.

With Raven's help, Terrick was able to get to his feet. Well, at least one foot, the injured one could not support his weight and he leaned heavily on the elven woman. "We can manage, I think. But what of Pike's body?" he asked, looking to Linden, knowing that if someone was to carrying their friend, that it would have to be the Linden. He hated the thought of Pike's final resting place being some pit the remaining bandits saw fit to throw him in.

Linden breathed out a long, pained sigh of grief as he looked back at the fallen guard. It would be a long haul to get Pike back to the wagon, and he wasn't sure he had the strength to do so. However, he knew that had the circumstances been reversed, Pike would not have hesitated to carry him. But what about Mavis? The boy was so shaky on his feet, especially after his latest stunt.

"Mavis, you'll have to follow me. Grab onto my shirt, you too Maple. We gotta go now..." He bent down and slid his arms under Pike's body, trying not to look at the man's torn throat. With great difficulty, he hoisted Pike over his shoulder and carried him like he was giving his friend a piggyback right. Looking back to Raven and Terrick he said, "I don't know how you guys got here, but I think I can get us back to the main entrance."

"it will be quicker and closer to go to the waterfall exit." Raven said, pointing towards the path that led back to the room where Mavis and Linden had been held
