I should have a Trio of standard size mixed breed chickens for sale. I am pretty sure they are a boy and 2 girls. They will be 13.5 weeks old then. Mother is a Black Cochin and Dad was a sneaky Welsummer. They should be rather large birds and lay brown eggs. Welsummers are great layers and Cochins are decent layers when not broody. I have never had this cross so do not know what traits they will inherit.
They are moderately feather legged. Right now they are solid black, but I have no idea what colors may bleed through later.
I would like to get $20 for the set at that time, but that is negotiable.
I may also have a pair of cull Cream Light Brown Dutch from my show stock. These will be the culls that I choose not to breed from. They will be 14-17 ounce birds when full grown. They are 2.5 months old right now and I should be able to judge them by then. $15 for this pair if I have them available.
Will have several Cockerels by then. Mille Fleur d'Uccle Cockerels that will be just over 3 months old. Also several from my mixed breed bantams. If you go to my website you can find the adults under the bantam section. There should be 2 black and whites and 2-3 tricolors. All boys. Welcome to another rooster year.
Wanted:
I am looking for well started or adult bantam Mottled Cochins. I am looking for the best stock I can find. The pair I paid way too much for in February had issues and never produced.
I posted this on the NCPoultry2(original NCPoultry group) Yahoo group.
