Carolina Chickenstock Spring 2013

She's beautiful - would you sell her alone?
And I think I read that you have over 700? I need to come visit your place LOL

Quote: No, I do not sell pullets by themselves as I get over run with roos I can't use unless like last year when I had all pullets hatch. I came home from Chickenstock last spring with 9 hens and grown pullets and no roos. My roos usually sell as well as my girls but I prefer to sell as pairs or roos alone.
And yes, I have cut back but usually have around 700 here in the peak summer months. I hope and pray not to have that many this year again. I am getting too old for the daily chores that it takes to keep everyone clean and comfy.

I have other roos, I just haven't taken photos of them yet. There are so many pretty ones I never know exactly what to keep.
I think this boy fits her well since she carries a lot of the dark coloring and needs to lighten. They both carry the MF gene and should hatch out some MF babies.
I need to post more photos of the boys I have available but time always runs short and my photo skills are lacking.

Since we're getting close I figured I'd post my wish list.

  • Two turkey poults, heritage breeds
  • Cream Legbar, hatching eggs or ~week old chicks.
  • Olive Egger, hatching eggs or ~week old chicks. (Hoping HenThymes has some in time for Chickenstock :D)
  • Delaware, hatching eggs or ~week old chicks.
  • Silver Appleyard ducklings or eggs.

Hoping having a list at Chickenstock will keep me in check like a grocery list does...
Edited to add: Not sure if anyone brings ducks to Chickenstock, but figured why not try?

I will be bringing Ameraicauna Cockerals, 3 pairs of seramas (one pair is laying), polish chicks, EE chicks, maybe's are Red Shoulder Yokohamas, Silkies, Chocolate split black bantam orpingtons, Salmon Faverolles.

I will be looking for some Americauna Laying hens for sale.

Here are some of the breeding stock that the chicks will come from: Can send more pictures if desired.

Laying Serama Pair for Sale

I have hatching eggs available in all these breeds as well. Let me know ahead of time if interested in hatching eggs. We are a NPIP/AI clean farm in SC.

Will your chicks be straight run? How much are your EEs?

Thanks,
E

Are your Faverolles bantam or Large fowl? Same question for the Polish?

I know Kris and Robert are bringing turkey poults. I would but all of mine are spoken for already and I am hatching as fast as I can!

I will bring eggs from my pen of blue wheaten Ameraucana over Olive Eggers, Ameraucanas (different colors like blue and splash so will make EEs) and Marans (I think only the black Copper are laying but the blue Copper might still give a few eggs)

I have decided that I am no longer going to continue with my Partridge Silkies, therefore will have a Rooster and his 3 hens for sale at the show. They are NPIP tested. I WILL NOT split as they have been raised together. Anyone interested please pm me or email: [email protected]
