Cat Lover's Corner

We have 3 cats.

The first is MoMo, he was born in a litter of 3 on the roof of our house. My bestfriend adopted one and it passed during surgery and my mom adopted one and she passed away about 2 years ago. He is 13 yrs. old. He is the caretaker. We had another cat that was a siamese and we believe he was picked up by someone who stopped to look at a camper we were selling so we had to adopt another from the shelter because Mo would cry and cry all day.

So this is our adopted kitty, Congo Fuzzybutt who is 13 as well. His name started out as Congo Silverback, from the movie Congo. When he was adopted he fit in the palm of my hand and had a silver mane down his back. My kids sometimes call him the human bowling ball because he appears to have swallowed one.

Next are 3 kittens born to a feral cat in our barn during the last summer. Momma cat was attacked by our dog who got loose so I brought the kitties in and tamed them and found them forever homes. Momma cat survived the attacked and eventually after many months has made her presense known again. DH and I have tamed her somewhat with feeding. She now has another full belly of kittens and after they are born she will be going to be spayed. Momma looks like the one all the way on the right. Half face is orange and half face is black. I have named her Molly.

Jerry was a barn cat from a dairy I worked at in college, the other two my DH picked out of free litters. They really like people (Poof is the typical aloof cat, though) and tolerate kids so well it amazes me. I'm sure we'll be adopted by many more when we move to the sticks!

Nerfy...what a beautiful cat..!
it's a puzzle why someone would drop off these gorgeous cats..or any animal for that matter..

sundown...
thanks for that info about vaseline..

we live on a country road..and drop offs of dogs and cats are common..
I have found 2 puppies in my yard..
one only about 5 weeks..
the other a couple months or so..
the little one could have born in the woods and wandered out..
luckily, I was out back tending to my chickens when he came wandering out..
my neighbor is involved with a No-kill Rescue Organization, and she took both of them as fosters, and they have since been adopted.

my female cat was feral when she came around..
but has become much more tame, She's an excellent cat..
the black male, who I've named "Hobo", has lived up to his name..
he's always going off at night, and I worry about him in this cold weather. I hope that after I get him neutered..he'll stick close to home and won't tear my door apart trying to get out..

Cluckychick..that is a gorgeous black cat..

but all are lovely cats.

Need help from Siamese cat owners.
Mr Snuffalupagas, a cat dumped by my house last October has very clear eyes, no discharge, redness, no sign of infection. Yet, when he gets in a loving purry mood, his second eyelids tend to extend almost half way over his eyes. Having cats all of my life, and seeing many types of eye infections, is this a normal thing with the breed? This is my first Siamese. He is parasite free, inside and out. Just had him to the vet, he said his eyes were fine. It doesn't seem right to me.
